Privacy policy

How American Foods International collects, uses and protects your information.

American Foods International, Inc. ("American Foods", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through afoodsinc.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Who we are

American Foods International, Inc. exports and distributes food brands across Latin America, the Caribbean and beyond. Our offices are at 2300 NW 92nd Ave, Doral, FL 33172, United States, and PH Plaza del Este, Tower A, Floor 13, Costa del Este, Panamá City, Panamá. For any privacy question, write to sales@afoodsinc.com.

Information you give us

When you fill in a form on this site (for example to request pricing, open an account, become a supplier, contact us, view a brochure or send your CV) we collect what you enter, such as:

  • Your name, work email, company, phone or WhatsApp number and country
  • Your message and any details about your business or products
  • For job applications, your CV and any information it contains

Information collected automatically

  • Brochure views: when you open a brochure or catalog, we record which one you opened and when, linked to the email you gave us.
  • HubSpot: we use HubSpot, our customer relationship management system, to receive form submissions and to understand how visitors use the site. HubSpot sets cookies (such as hubspotutk and __hstc) that record the pages you visit. If you later fill in a form, that browsing history is linked to your contact record.
  • Google Analytics: we use Google Analytics to measure how many people visit the site and which pages they view, in aggregate. It sets its own cookies (such as _ga).
  • Advertising (Meta and LinkedIn): with your consent, the Meta Pixel and the LinkedIn Insight Tag record your visits to this site. This lets us measure our campaigns and show relevant ads on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn to people who visited us. Meta and LinkedIn process this data under their own privacy policies.
  • Technical data: like any website, our servers receive your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, which we use to keep the site secure and working.

Cookies and storage on your device

Some cookies and browser storage are needed for the site to work, and are not used for tracking:

  • af_lang: remembers whether you chose English or Spanish.
  • af_gate: remembers that you already filled in the brochure form, so other brochures open directly.
  • Remembered details: after you fill in a form, your name, email, company, phone and country are saved in your own browser (not on our servers) so you don't have to type them again. Click "Not you?" on any form to clear them.
  • Quote list: the products you add to your quote list are kept in your own browser (not on our servers) until you send the request or clear the list.
  • Popup settings: remember that you closed a popup so we don't show it again.

Analytics cookies (HubSpot and Google Analytics) help us improve the site, and advertising cookies (Meta and LinkedIn) help us reach businesses interested in our products. Advertising cookies only load after you allow them in the cookie banner. Where the law requires your consent for analytics too, for example in the European Union and the United Kingdom, we only set them after you agree, and you can change your choice at any time through the cookie banner or your browser settings. Blocking cookies may stop some features, such as remembered details, from working.

How we use your information

  • To answer your requests, send pricing and quotes, and open and manage customer and supplier accounts
  • To send you the brochures and catalogs you ask for
  • To follow up about our products and services, where you are a business customer or have asked us to
  • To consider your job application
  • To understand which products and pages interest our visitors, and to improve the site
  • To keep the site secure and comply with the law

We do not sell your personal information. We use advertising cookies from Meta and LinkedIn only as described above, and you can turn them off at any time in the cookie banner.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the business, under contracts that require them to protect it: HubSpot (customer relationship management), Google (analytics), Meta and LinkedIn (advertising), DigitalOcean (website hosting) and our email provider. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or as part of a merger or sale of the business.

International transfers

We are based in the United States and Panamá, and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where we transfer personal data from the European Union or the United Kingdom, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep contact and account information for as long as we have a business relationship with you, and afterwards as long as needed for legal, tax and accounting purposes. Job applications are kept for up to two years, so we can consider you for future openings, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict how we use it, to receive a copy of it, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can unsubscribe from our emails using the link in any email. To make a request, write to sales@afoodsinc.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

This site is for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.
